Eduard 1:48 F4F-3 Wildcat - wheel bay (3D printed, Brassin) is a detail accessory, not a model. Made by direct 3D printing in resin, it renders the wheel bay of the carrier fighter faithfully and is intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory of the Brassin range made by direct 3D printing in resin. It replaces the simpler plastic parts of the wheel bay of the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat carrier fighter with a faithfully rendered space with reinforcements, channels and runs, as found inside the fuselage of the real aircraft. The accessory is intended for the F4F-3 kit in 1:48 scale from Eduard. It is a product for experienced modelers.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American carrier fighter that bore the main weight of the US Navy's fighting in the first years of the war in the Pacific. The F4F-3 version had fixed wings (without the folding mechanism) and became the typical machine of the first engagements, including the Battle of Midway. The hand-cranked landing gear retracting into the fuselage is characteristic of the Wildcat - which is exactly why a well rendered wheel bay is a rewarding detail on a model.
For advanced builders of naval fighters who want an accurate wheel bay on their Wildcat with no compromises.
This is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
