A resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Su-15 interceptor in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Printing in resin brings out the tread pattern and the shape of the rim without the mold seam that a plastic wheel has down the middle. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts for your own model.
The Su-15 is a twin-engine interceptor meant for the defense of airspace, with side air intakes and with a delta wing. Its task was to get up to altitude quickly and engage an intruder with medium-range guided missiles, so it took off with a large quantity of fuel and the landing gear was heavily loaded. That is exactly why it pays to give the wheels attention on a model.
Cut the supports off with a scalpel and level the mating pad, so that a wheel sits square to the leg. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the tire a very dark gray and the rim separately after the real subject. In 1:72 scale, patient work with a fine brush will do for the transition between the rim and the tire.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
