The set brings 3D printed landing gear wheels for the Su-24 in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. It is not a model of the aircraft but a replacement for the parts from the kit: the printed wheel carries a crisper tread pattern, finer relief on the hub and a cleaner shape of the axle boss than an injection mold can give. For the sets of this range the manufacturer gives the nose wheel and the braked main wheels.
The Su-24 is a tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two sitting side by side. It was built for low-altitude penetration with a large fuel load and an extensive weapons load, so it is among the heaviest machines of its category. The main landing gear therefore has twin wheels, which spread the load over a larger area and allow operation from poorer surfaces as well.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the wheel in stages: the hub first, then mask it and finish the tire. Dust pigment holds in the tread pattern on its own.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
