Gunze Hobby color - Aircraft Gray (an Acrylic Paint)

This is a modeling paint, not a kit. The Aqueous Hobby Color range from Gunze (Mr. Hobby) is a water-thinnable acrylic intended for plastic models. The paint is low odor, it can be applied with a brush and with an airbrush and it holds on plastic, metal and printed parts. This shade is a gray for aircraft models, a general aircraft gray.

Use

• Applied with a brush and with an airbrush. For an airbrush always thin the paint; choose the consistency to suit the nozzle and the pressure.
• Thinning: Gunze has its own thinner for this range (the thinner for Mr. Hobby water-thinnable paints), which gives markedly better flow-out and adhesion than plain water. Brushes can be washed out with water for as long as the paint has not dried.
• Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom.
• It holds less well on a glossy or greasy surface, so degrease the parts and use a primer on difficult materials.
• A dried coat takes weathering with washes and pigments; under decals a local gloss varnish compatible with acrylic works well.
