What Aqueous Hobby Color is

A water-thinnable acrylic range of modeling paints. Compared with lacquer paints its smell is incomparably milder, so it can be worked with even in an apartment with no extraction. The paint is applied with a brush just as with an airbrush, and once dry it is durable enough to take further coats, decals and a final clear coat.

What the set contains

Eight shades from this range in one package. The set is practical as a first outfit for a kit under construction or as an addition to a palette that is short of a few shades. Buying paints one by one works out dearer and they rarely come together in a way that is enough for a model.

Application tips

• Stir each bottle properly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when left alone.
• Choose the thinner the manufacturer recommends for this range, otherwise the paint will lose adhesion.
• Apply thin coats and let them set, as a heavy coat floods the fine relief of the parts.
• Rinse the brush as you go, because acrylic paint dries fast and hard in the bristles.
• Close the bottles carefully after work and wipe the rim, as dried paint on the thread will keep them from opening.
• Freshly spilled paint washes off hands and the bench with water; once dry it holds fast.
