This Kh-47M2 missile in 1:72 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. A heavy air-launched missile.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the heavy air-launched Kh-47M2 missile in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The resin print manages the long body and the shaped control fins in one piece. It is not an aircraft model but a separate store to be hung under the fuselage of a finished model.
The Kh-47M2 is a Russian missile carried by a converted interceptor of the MiG-31 family on a single station under the fuselage. In shape it is closer to a rocket than to a conventional air-launched missile, because its path leads high above the atmosphere and only from there does it head for the target. Because of its size and weight only one round per aircraft is possible, which is striking on a model: the missile is conspicuously large next to the aircraft.
Release the long body from the supports on a flat work mat so that it does not bow. Sand the marks down with fine paper and wet sand, with respiratory protection. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Given the weight of the resin, it pays to reinforce the mount with a wire pin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
