The Russian Air Force pilot figures, set no. 3, 1:48 are a set of resin figures of present-day Russian Air Force pilots in 1:48 scale for completing an airfield diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains resin figures of Russian Air Force pilots in present-day equipment, in 1:48 scale. It is neither a model of an aircraft nor a kit but an accessory that you place beside a finished model or into an open cockpit. The figures are modeled on period photographs and hold characteristic stances.
The equipment of a present-day Russian fighter pilot consists of a flight coverall, a pressure garment, a life vest and a helmet with a visor and an oxygen mask. It is precisely these items that give a figure its characteristic silhouette and set it apart from the pilots of earlier periods. A figure beside a model shows at once how big the aircraft really is. In a diorama it gives the scene a story and explains what is going on around the machine.
Wash the 3D printed figures in warm water with a little dish soap and cut the supports off with a sharp blade, carefully at the fingers and the equipment. Sanding is done with your airways protected and gluing with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin primer on as a base, paint the faces and the hands with a brush, lightening them step by step, and finish the coverall with a dark wash into the folds. Add gloss varnish to the helmet and the visor.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
