The number in the name behaves much like the grit of sandpaper. The range holds three liquid primers of the same volume, in which the lowest number means the coarsest filler and the highest the finest. This variant is the finest of them, so it is not used to fill a pronounced seam but to smooth the surface perfectly just before painting.
The practical benefit is twofold. First, it unifies a base where gray plastic, sanded putty and sometimes resin meet. The paint then holds the same everywhere and no different substrate shows through. Second, it works as a check coat. A single flat shade exposes file marks, remnants of a mold seam and sink marks that are practically invisible on multicolored plastic, and gives you the chance to fix them before the paint locks them in.
Fineness is exactly the reason to reach for this variant on models with dense engraving. A coarser primer can fill fine lines in, while this one keeps them legible. It is equally suited under gloss and metallic finishes, which expose any irregularity without mercy.
How to work with it: the bottle holds a thick concentrate. For the airbrush it is thinned with lacquer thinner, and by brush it can be applied locally to a small flaw and sanded down once dry. It is not a spray in a pressurized can but a liquid that you dose yourself. Stir the contents thoroughly before use, because the filler settles at the bottom and an unstirred primer lays down nothing but tinted binder, which fills nothing.
