Pilot figures in the flying position in 1:32 scale, set number 4 are 3D printed figures from Temp Models shaped to sit down into an ejection seat.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings 3D printed figures of Russian Air Force pilots in 1:32 scale from Temp Models, and that in the flying position. The figures are shaped so that they sit down into an ejection seat with the legs correctly bent and the hands on the controls. It is not a model of an aircraft but the crew you set into a finished model.
The equipment of a present-day Russian fighter pilot consists of a flight suit, an anti-g garment, the parachute harness and a protective helmet with an oxygen mask. A figure in the flying position makes different demands than a standing one: it has to fit the particular geometry of a cockpit, so the angle at the hip, the knee and the elbow matters. In a large scale the pilot in the cockpit is clearly visible, especially with the canopy open, and without a figure the cockpit looks empty. A seated figure at the same time covers part of the cockpit tub, which helps with less detailed kits.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the figures in layers from the base tone toward the light edges, and leave the face and the hands for last.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
