Soviet pilot figures with the ZSh-5 helmet in 1:32 scale, set number 21 are 3D printed figures from Temp Models. An addition to a model, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings 3D printed figures of Soviet Air Force pilots in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. The figures carry the ZSh-5 protective flight helmet, so they belong with models of machines from the period when that helmet was in ordinary use. It is not a model of an aircraft but the crew to go with one.
The ZSh is a family of Soviet protective flight helmets which developed from the 1960s and gradually brought head protection, the earphones, the oxygen mask and the visor together into a single unit. Against the earlier types the ZSh-5 version has the visor built into the body of the helmet, so it folds down on its own and the pilot does not have to fit it separately. On a figure it is recognized by its smooth rounded shape and by the attachment of the mask at the sides.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the figures in layers from the base tone toward the light edges, and leave the face and the hands for last.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
