Water soluble patina BLACK SOOT 240ml

What the patina is for

The Black Soot shade imitates fresh soot, that is the coloring that comes about around exhausts and nozzles, at the muzzles of guns, above fireboxes and around burned places. The product is thinned with water and applied onto finished paintwork, in the last stage of a build. The package with a volume of 240 ml is intended for those who use the shade regularly or work on large areas, such as dioramas, terrain and backdrops.

How to work with it

• Shake the container well before every use, as the color component settles to the bottom.
• For small work, pour a little of the product into a dish, so that the contents of the container do not get dirty.
• Apply it onto completely dry varnish, best a flat one, and work in thin layers.
• Lead the trace outward from the source of the smoke; it should fade away from it.
• Wipe the surplus off with a damp brush or a cotton bud while the layer is fresh.
• The layer remains soluble in water, so it can be washed out and adjusted even once dry.
• Fix the finished effect with varnish if further work with water is to follow.

Who it is for

The large package will be valued by modelers who build in the large scales, by club workshops and by builders of dioramas and terrain. The use meanwhile does not differ in any way from the smaller package of the same shade.

Terms of supply

What is supplied is a container of 240 ml according to the name of the item. Brushes, varnish and other effect products are to be prepared of your own, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the container carefully closed out of the reach of children.
