A plastic figure of a Persian heavy infantryman of the Greco-Persian Wars period in 1:32 scale. The fifth kit of the series, one figure in the box.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Greco-Persian Wars were a series of clashes between the Persian empire and the Greek city states in the 5th century BC. Persian infantry formed the core of the enormous field armies in them, and its heavily armed warriors belong among the most rewarding subjects of historical figure modeling, because they combine cloth, metal and a colorful pattern in one whole.
This is the fifth kit of the series devoted to the Greco-Persian Wars. The package holds one figure of a Persian heavy infantryman in 1:32 scale, that is about 55 mm tall. The figure is polystyrene and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Cut the parts off the sprue with side cutters and level the remains of the gates with a scalpel, so that no bump is left at the joint. Go over the parting lines from the mold with fine abrasive; on figures they usually run across the arms and the hips. It is glued with ordinary cement for plastic models. Before painting, spray the whole figure with primer, so that the shapes can be seen. The face and the folds of the cloth come out when you shade the base tone with a glaze first and only then lift the raised places with a lighter tone.
The figure is intended for builders of historical figures and for collectors who like a larger scale and plenty of room for painting detail. It serves as a standalone piece for a display case as well.
The package holds the figure only. Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
