A decal set in 1:48 scale from Two Bobs. It is not a kit but a sheet of decals for a finished model of the F-15A Eagle fighter. The Fightin' 49ers set offers the markings of machines connected with a traditional American fighter unit.

The real subject

The McDonnell Douglas F-15A Eagle is a single-seat air superiority fighter of the US Air Force and the first production version of the successful Eagle family. This twin-engine machine with long radar reach and heavy armament was designed to gain and hold air superiority. The early machines wore lighter finishes, which look very striking for the period.
