Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 3D printed resin covers and plugs that technicians fit to a parked MiG-29 aircraft, in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory thanks to which the model looks like a machine parked between sorties. The print holds the soft-looking shapes of the covers as well as the small tie-down straps.
On a parked aircraft the air intakes, the exhaust nozzles, the pressure probes and other openings are blanked off, so that dirt, moisture and birds do not get inside. The covers tend to be of strikingly colored fabric or plastic, often with flags and lettering, so that nobody forgets to take them off before a flight. In photographs of parked machines they are unmissable and they add credibility to a scene. Without them a model standing still looks more like an aircraft ready for take-off.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once separated they are easily mixed up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
