A resin set of plugs and chocks for a model of the MiG-29K carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. This is the equipment the crew fit to a parked aircraft: covers for the openings on the airframe and chocks that keep the machine from moving. The set is printed in resin. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a model on the flight line or on a deck.
The MiG-29K is the carrier version intended for operation from an aircraft carrier. A folding wing, strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook make it a machine that spends a lot of time parked on a cramped deck, and that is exactly where covering the openings and securing the wheels makes the most sense: salt spray and wind can harm unprotected equipment faster than anything else. For a model it means a fit that settles the scene into a naval setting at once.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface and sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits with no gap. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the warning-colored covers separately and fit them to the model right at the end, so that they do not get dirty during weathering.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
