The set of covers and plugs for the Yak-130 1:32 is a 3D printed resin set of covers and plugs of the kind fitted to a parked Yak-130 aircraft, in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 3D printed resin covers and plugs for a parked model of the Yak-130 aircraft in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory thanks to which the model looks like a machine parked between training flights. The print holds the soft-looking shapes of the covers as well as the small tie-down straps and flags.
The Yak-130 is a Russian two-seat jet trainer and light combat aircraft with side air intakes. On the ground both the intakes and the nozzle are blanked off and the pressure probes and other sensitive places are covered, so that dirt does not get inside. On a training machine that makes a number of flights a day and stands on the surface between them, this is everyday routine. The covers tend to be of strikingly colored fabric or plastic, so that nobody overlooks them.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once separated they are easily mixed up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
