The universal service cart 1:48 is a 3D printed resin model of a universal transport cart for ammunition and airfield equipment, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin model of a universal transport cart, which at an airfield serves to carry ammunition and other equipment. It is not a model of an aircraft but a piece of ground equipment for a diorama with Soviet or Russian machines. The print holds the thin frame, the wheels and the small fittings.
Preparing a combat aircraft for a flight means moving a great many heavy and bulky things across the surface: ammunition, spare parts, tools and covers. Simple transport carts serve for that, which can be pulled or pushed right up to the aircraft. In photographs of aprons several of them are usually to be seen and they create the characteristic clutter of a working airfield. In a diorama they give the scene a story and fill the empty space around the model.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Equipment beside an aircraft comes out best with weathering: a dark wash into the gaps, dust with dry pigment and scuffed spots suggested with a metallic shade.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
