This plastic kit from the World War Toons range presents the German King Tiger heavy tank with the Henschel turret in a light-hearted caricature form. It is not in a modeling scale: like the whole egg model range, the model is deliberately distorted into cute proportions with a big gun, massive running gear and a short hull. The manufacturer is Meng and the parts are injection-molded in plastic.
The King Tiger (Sd.Kfz. 182, Tiger II) was a German heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War, famous for its heavy armor and long gun barrel. The variant with the Henschel turret had a simpler shape with a flat front face than the earlier Porsche turret. The egg model kit plays those characteristic features up with a good deal of exaggeration.
Thanks to the small number of parts the model suits beginners and children under supervision. Deburr the parts from the sprues and clean them up; acrylic paints and simple masking work well for the typical German camouflage pattern.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
