The pink of the Lfrith scheme

Light pink shades are among the hardest to mix at home: one drop too many and the tone drifts into violet or into salmon. This paint is mixed directly for the color scheme of the Lfrith machine, so there is no searching for the ratio and no worry that the second batch will not come out the same. It can be used outside robots as well, wherever a clean light pink suits, from figures to accessories and small parts of hardware.

Coverage and the surface underneath

Light shades cover worse than dark ones, and pink has it harder still because the color of the plastic and the slightest unevenness of the surface show through it. The safest route goes through a smooth light undercoat, on which the tone comes out the same across the whole area. Before you start painting, wash and degrease the parts so that the paint does not gather into beads. Count on several thin coats rather than on one heavy pass that would flood the engraved seams.

Application

• Stir the paint thoroughly before every use; the pigment settles to the bottom
• Suitable for the brush as well as the airbrush
• For spraying, thin it with the thinner of the same line according to the manufacturer's instructions
• Paint parts of the same shade in one session so that the tone matches
• Clean the tools at once, while the paint is fresh
