Fine drill bits with a pivot point in the range 1.0 to 1.5 mm. The point keeps the bit from running off the surface, so the hole begins exactly where it should.
Responsibility details are not available.
Drilling small holes belongs to ordinary modeling work: holes for gun barrels and exhaust tubes, holes for routing wiring and brake lines, mountings for pins, grab handles and antennas or suggesting drain holes. The range 1.0 to 1.5 mm covers exactly this kind of small work. The pivot point is the main advantage of this release: the tip bites into the surface and the bit does not run off to the side, even when you are drilling into a curved surface or into a soft material.
Clamp the bit in a hand holder or in a low-speed drill. First mark the place of the hole with a light prick, so that the point has somewhere to settle. Drill with no pressure; small diameters are broken mainly by force and by being held at an angle, not by going blunt. Withdraw the bit from time to time so that the chips are cleared, and support the part while doing so, so that a thin wall does not flex. Once the hole is through, clean its edge up lightly. The exact composition of the set and the size of the shank are given on the manufacturer's packaging.
For builders of vehicles, aircraft and ships who complete models with details of their own, and for work with photo-etched parts where accurate holes have to be prepared. Their use is not tied to one scale.
A bit holder, a drill and a model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
