Flexible tin wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm from Green Stuff World. A medium diameter for hoses, lines and reinforcement that has to hold its shape.
Responsibility details are not available.
A soft metal wire on a spool with a diameter of 0.6 mm. Once bent it stays in its new position and does not spring back, which is the most important property when shaping hoses and lines. A modeler can shape a cable away from the model, check how it runs and only then seat it in place.
A diameter of six tenths suits fuel and hydraulic hoses, bundles of cables, grab handles, thin rods and reinforcement inside sculpted parts. In dioramas it serves as wire fencing, as a low-voltage line or as the armature for climbing plants onto which fine foliage is glued.
Cut with nippers and use round-nose pliers when bending if you want a regular curve. Degrease the wire before painting and apply a primer. If you are imitating a braided cable, wind a thinner wire around the wire at a regular pitch and spray the whole thing; that gives you a very convincing texture. Flatten the ends with pliers as end fittings. When gluing it into a drilled hole, apply the glue to the wire, not into the hole, or the joint will flood.
This is a material, not a finished part. Degreasing and a primer are recommended before painting.
