Dark green foliage for summer growth and the shaded parts of crowns. The package holds 464 square centimeters of material.

A grown deciduous wood in full summer is nowhere a glowing green. Most of the area is made up of the shadow between the leaves, and it is precisely this dark base that gives growth its volume. The material therefore finds its best use where density is meant to be seen: in the lower parts of a crown, in the undergrowth beneath trees, on the north side of a house or as ivy growing over a stone wall.
The proven procedure builds a crown from two tones. This one makes up the bottom and the inside, while a lighter shade is then merely pressed with a finger onto the top where the sun would fall. The proportion tends to be roughly two thirds dark to one third light, because the lit area is always smaller than it seems during the building.
When gluing onto a vertical surface, that is onto a wall or a trunk, it suits to apply the glue to the material first and not to the base. A tuft then holds from the first moment and does not slide down before it has time to set. With larger areas it helps to divide the work into strips from the bottom up, because the upper layer then partly covers the edge of the one below and the transition disappears. On a finished wall overgrown with greenery it is then no longer possible to tell where one piece of material ends and the next begins, which is exactly what the work is about.
