Fresh Rust is a loose weathering pigment from the brand Modellers World in a shade of fresh rust. It is neither a paint nor a wash: it is a fine powder with which traces of corrosion are created on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pigment is a finely ground colored powder with no binder. It is applied to a model dry with a brush and fixed only at the end, so you have full control over how much of it stays on the surface. The shade matches fresh, orange-toned rust, the kind that arises on recently scuffed or cracked paint, on the edges of sheet metal and around rivets.
It suits military equipment, wrecks, ship hulls, railroad models and diorama accessories, that is everywhere fresh corrosion is to be seen. Fresh rust looks credible mainly where you give it a reason: under a scuff, at a weld, on an edge that someone regularly rubs against.
Do not inhale the fine powder, work in a well ventilated room and close the container after use. Keep out of the reach of children.
