Giallo Cromo is the Italian name for chrome yellow, a rich, warm yellow tone with a hint of orange. In the Mr.Paint line it carries the number 310. A yellow of this kind is one of those shades that catch the eye on a model at once, which is why it pays to work with it thoughtfully: it serves well on small areas and stripes, while over a whole surface the result tends to be garish.
A rich yellow finds use in modeling on identification stripes and bands, on warning markings on equipment, on parts of airfield ground equipment and on machines with a striking color scheme. It also serves well as a component when mixing earthy and sandy tones that need some warmth.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions and use the thinner intended for this line. Yellow shades generally have poorer covering power than dark colors, so it pays to spray a light base coat underneath, best white or light gray; straight onto a dark surface it would take many coats and the detail would be lost in them. Apply in several light coats, work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottle carefully after the work.
Thinner, brushes and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
