GLOSSY WET MUD SOILS

AMMO Glossy Wet Mud Soils, a set of wet mud effects

A set of three enamel (solvent-based) weathering products from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, each in a bottle of 35 ml. The products create wet, glossy mud and damp earth with the impression of freshly soaked ground. They come into play on the running gear, the tracks and the lower hulls of vehicles and on the surfaces of dioramas where rain, a ford or waterlogged, boggy conditions are to be captured.

Use

• Creating wet glossy mud under tracks, on wheels and on the lower hulls of equipment.
• Damp, freshly churned surfaces and puddles in dioramas and on bases.
• Bringing out the impression of rain, a ford and waterlogged terrain.
• They are applied with a brush or a spatula; until the enamel has dried it can be worked, shaped and taken away with a clean brush moistened in thinner.
• The shades can be mixed; they are thinned with enamel (solvent-based) thinner, or mineral spirits: NEVER with water.

How it differs from washes and pigments

It is not a liquid wash running into detail nor a loose pigment powder but a thicker, textured enamel product, which once dry leaves a glossy, wet-looking surface. The binder is enamel (solvent-based), which is why it is thinned and cleaned with thinner, not with water.

Who it is for

For modelers of military equipment and builders of dioramas who want to render a wet, churned setting with the realistic gloss of damp soil.

The product holds solvents, is flammable and gives off fumes: work in a well-ventilated space and out of the reach of children.
