A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the shade Gris Vert, that is, a gray with a green cast.
Responsibility details are not available.
Gris Vert translates as green-gray: a gray tone with a clearly visible green shift, which on a model reads more softly than a pure gray. The shade carries a French name, and the same range holds a whole group of shades named this way, so they combine well together. It is precisely the green cast that makes the paint useful anywhere a neutral gray would look cold and dead.
It suits vehicles, armament and small equipment whose real subject wears a gray-green finish, and it also serves well on surfaces that are meant to differ only slightly from the surrounding greenery. It is useful as a base for shading tones as well, because it sits with a darker green and with a cool gray without a sharp transition. It is used on models of ground vehicles just as much as on accessories and fittings for a scene.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use; settled pigment will otherwise change both the tone and the coverage. Thinner and thinning ratio follow the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging, and thinners from other ranges are not to be mixed in. Spray several thin coats and let them flash off in between; one heavy coat floods the detail. Gray shades are moreover easier to judge on a test sample than in the bottle, so try the spray on scrap plastic first.
Thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
