Fujimi GUP-SP Wire Net and Nylon Net Set

A set of meshes for modelers from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. It is not a model and not a kit but a material from which you make your own parts for a model. The set holds two different types of mesh: metal wire and nylon. Each suits something different. The wire mesh holds its shape and takes a bend to a sharp edge, while the nylon is pliable, follows more complex shapes excellently and imitates textile netting well. Check the exact sizes of the sheets, the mesh density and the number of pieces in the package on the packaging.

The material is universal, tied neither to one kit nor to one scale, so one set yields detail for several models. It will be appreciated above all by builders of vehicles and dioramas, but it works on ships and scenic bases too. Cut the wire mesh with sharp tin snips or with a scalpel over a mat, and the nylon rather with a sharp scalpel, so that the edges do not fray. Degrease the metal mesh before painting and use a primer, otherwise paint will not hold on the smooth wire.

The material has sharp edges and fine structures. Use eye protection when cutting and clear the offcuts away, so that they do not end up in the carpet or reach children.
