Painting small parts by hand is the quickest route to fingerprints, greasy marks and scuffed paint. A hand-held holder solves that simply: the part is clamped into the aid and everything else then happens out of reach of your fingers. You hold the tool, not the model.
Its main stage is spraying and the drying that follows. With the holder in your hand you can turn a part to any angle, reach the lower edges and the shaded places, and you do not have to change your grip to do it. It does the same service in brush painting, in applying washes and in dry brush work, where a part is handled constantly and a steady support is needed. Once a coat is done, the holder is put down with the part still in it, so the paint dries in the position in which you applied it.
For modelers who spray with an airbrush or paint large numbers of small parts, and for figure painters, for whom a steady hand and a constant distance from the surface are half the result. This is bench equipment, not a kit.
