A head loupe in the W2 form. It brings fine modeling work closer while leaving both hands free.
Responsibility details are not available.
Modeling largely takes place at a size the human eye stops coping with in time. A photo-etched part the size of a grain of rice, a decal that has to sit to within a millimeter, the eye of a figure or the edge of a panel line: all of that goes more easily when the work is magnified. A head loupe is worn on the head like a headband, so unlike a loupe in the hand or on a stand it leaves both hands free for tweezers and a blade.
Magnifying optics have a narrow band of sharpness. Once it is on, therefore, first find the distance at which the image is clean and hold the work there; adjusting the height of your bench or chair helps with that. Magnification places greater demands on light, so add a lamp at the working surface. And take breaks, because after longer work with a loupe the eyes need a rest on a more distant view.
Wipe the lenses with a soft optical cloth, not with a paper tissue, which will scratch the surface. Do not set the loupe down on its lenses, and when not working store it so that no sanding dust settles on the optics. Remove drops of glue and paint from a lens as soon as possible, because once they have dried that is no longer possible without risking a scratch.
Tools, a lamp and further modeling equipment are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
