A title for reading, Historie policejniho letectva (The History of Police Aviation). It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model.
Historie policejniho letectva, which translates as The History of Police Aviation, is a publication for reading, bought as companion literature alongside kits and tools. It is not a model and not an accessory for a build; the subject is carried by the name itself, that is, the use of aircraft by police forces. The text is in Czech.
Police aviation stands aside from attention, even though people see its machines overhead more often than military ones. The work is set by the task, not by a battlefield: watching over traffic and over large events, searching for missing persons, following a flood situation, carrying specialists and working with rescue services. At the start, flying was done on machines taken over from ordinary production; later helicopters took the main role, because they can hover in place and land away from an airfield. The equipment matches that, from a searchlight and a camera to a winch.
Machines in police service are a rewarding subject precisely because their coloring falls outside the usual. Striking stripes, bold lettering and glossy finishes look different on a model from matte military camouflage, and they force the builder to watch for a clean surface under the gloss. Reading around the subject adds the context and a theme that will not follow from the kit instructions alone.
For readers with an interest in aviation and in the work of security forces, and for modelers who build machines in civilian or service finish. Models, kits, paints and other modeling supplies are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
