Human Flesh is the base flesh shade of the Quick Gen Color acrylic range from AK Interactive. It is a water-thinnable acrylic intended for figures and gaming models. In practice it serves as the starting tone of human skin, on which shading toward darker and warmer registers and highlights toward the high points of the face are then built. It is used to paint faces, hands and bare parts of the body, that is areas a few millimeters across where every heavier coat shows at once.
Flesh shades are the most sensitive of all acrylics to timing. A face is built from several coats, and every further stroke over a coat that has not dried dissolves and drags it, so the transition you worked for is lost and the shade turns gray. It therefore pays to paint several figures at once and to alternate between them between coats, which gives each coat a few extra minutes without costing you time. The second reason for patience is highlighting: light flesh coats tend to cover less and their depth is built by repetition, which simply does not work without drying in between. And thirdly, if you protect the flesh with a varnish once finished, let the completed face cure until the next day, otherwise you risk a hazy surface in exactly the most visible place on the figure.
For figure modelers and players who need a versatile starting flesh shade for faces and hands.
Keep out of the reach of children, dry and at room temperature. Dried paint residue belongs in solid waste.
