Jäger Orange (17ml)

Real Colors RC840 Jäger Orange, 17 ml

A modeling acrylic paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC840, in a 17 ml package. The shade is listed under the name Jäger Orange and is a rich orange, that is, a color meant for large continuous areas that are supposed to be seen on a model.

Where you will use the shade

A rich orange comes into its own on the bodywork of racing cars and on motorcycle fairings, where it is often the base color of a whole scheme. It serves just as well on sporting accessories, on the helmets of figures or on diorama elements where you want to set a sharp color contrast against muted surroundings.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents well before taking any out; the pigment settles at the bottom and without stirring the coat is weaker.
• Orange covers badly over a dark base; apply it onto a light, preferably white primer.
• Build the shade up from several thin coats, letting each dry in between.
• For thinning and for cleaning tools, use the thinner intended for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Make a test coat on scrap plastic with the same primer the model will have.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle carefully after work and store it away from heat and frost. Paint that has thickened can be thinned, but check the tone after thinning away from the model.

The package contains one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
