Circles 16 to 20 mm (kabuki) is a universal masking sheet from the Omask brand with pre-cut circles for painting models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal masking sheet with pre-cut circles in diameters from 16 to 20 mm from the Omask brand. These are neither decals nor a part of a model but an aid for painting: the circles are peeled off the backing, stuck onto the place required and removed again once the paint has been sprayed. The sheet is made of kabuki tape, that is of thin Japanese paper-based masking tape, which holds well, comes off easily and leaves no adhesive behind. The number of circles and the size of the sheet are stated on the box.
The surface of the model has to be dry, degreased and smooth, otherwise paint will creep underneath. Lift the circle off the backing with tweezers, lay it on and press both the center and the whole perimeter down. Kabuki tape is flexible, so it can be formed into a slightly convex surface, but at sharp edges help the edges down with a toothpick. Spray the paint in thin coats and never straight under the edge of the mask. Take the mask off while the paint has only flashed off, pulling it at an angle across the surface rather than straight up. A used circle can be put on once more for fine work, but the tack will already be lower.
For modelers who do not want to cut circular masks by hand, and for everyone who works with an airbrush in larger scales, where diameters of 16 to 20 mm are common. It will find use across fields, on aircraft, vehicles and cars.
This is a masking aid, not a model and not decals. Paints and tools are not included in the package.
