A liquid pigment in a desert earth shade, intended for dusting and soiling models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A liquid pigment for the final finishing of a surface. Compared with a loose pigment, the pigment here is already stirred into a carrier liquid, so it does not raise dust, it can be applied with a brush and once dry a matte dusty layer stays on the model. The Desert Earth shade is aimed at light desert earth, that is at the dust that clings to machinery and to footwear in dry and sandy terrain.
On chassis and running gear, on the undersides of hulls and on fenders, on the boots and the lower hem of the clothing of figures and on the floor of a diorama, where it unifies the color tone of the loose materials with the model. A light earth color also works to bring out engraved joints and corners, because it settles in them more densely than on a smooth surface.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, the pigment settles to the bottom and unstirred it will apply only the carrier liquid. Apply with a soft brush onto a matte surface; on a glossy finish it holds less well and runs. Let it dry and only then take the excess off with a dry brush or a cotton swab, wiping in the direction of the airflow or of running water. Build the thickness of the layer gradually, because taking dried pigment off is harder than adding more. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The delivery contains the shade named. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
