Tamiya LP-10 Lacquer Thinner is the original thinner for Tamiya's lacquer (nitro) LP paint line, in a 10 ml bottle. It is not a paint — it thins LP lacquers for airbrush use and cleans the airbrush and brushes.

LP-10 is a thinner, not a paint. It is modeling chemistry, not a kit. It is the original Tamiya thinner designed exclusively for the lacquer (nitro) Tamiya LP paint line. The lacquer line is an entirely different chemistry from the same manufacturer's acrylics and enamels, and so it has its own thinner. The bottle holds 10 ml.
Tamiya runs three distinct chemistries, each with its own thinner: X-20A for acrylic paints (water-thinnable), X-20 for enamels (without the letter A), and LP-10 for LP lacquers. Do not mix up thinners between the lines — LP-10 is not a substitute for X-20A or X-20, and it does not thin acrylic paints. LP-10 is a significantly more aggressive solvent: do not use it to clean kit plastic parts or to degrease a model, since it can attack the plastic surface.
LP lacquers dry fast and form a durable film, but they are more aggressive to plastic than acrylics. Apply them in thin coats, ideally over a cured primer, which protects the plastic. Never apply lacquer over uncured enamel or acrylic — the solvent would attack or completely dissolve the layer underneath. Conversely, a well-cured LP lacquer works fine as a base layer that can later be overcoated with enamel or acrylic.
For modelers who spray Tamiya LP lacquer paints with an airbrush and need the original thinner and cleaner for that line.
