Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling paint of the Hataka brand from the Orange Line. The shade is named Luminous Red, and the manufacturer gives the number RAL 3024 with it. RAL is the European chart of color shades, in which every shade is carried under a four-digit number; the group beginning with a three belongs to the red tones. A reference to the chart has a practical point with a modeling paint: from the number you can tell which real subject the shade comes close to, even though every brand names it in its own way.
A deep red is rarely sprayed over a whole machine on a model. It finds use on areas that are meant to be seen at first glance: warning stripes, markings of hazardous spots, numbers and symbols, the insides of covers, covers over air intakes and stand accessories. It also serves well outside aviation, on fire and rescue vehicles or on racing cars. Make a sharp transition to the neighboring shade with a mask stuck down before spraying, not freehand.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer instructions on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this line. Deep reds cover less well than one would expect, and over a dark base they lose their sparkle. Unify the surface with a light base coat, therefore, and apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one. Take the mask off as soon as the paint has flashed off.
The paint alone is supplied. The thinner, primer and clear coat are not included, unless stated otherwise.
