M3A4 is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but an accessory for refining the detail of a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale, not a kit. Its purpose is to replace, on a plastic model of American Second World War equipment designated M3A4, the parts that cannot be molded thin enough in plastic. It is a full photo-etched set, not the smaller pre-painted Zoom set.
Etched sheet is an order of magnitude thinner than injection-molded plastic, so it allows convincingly thin fender edges, grilles, brackets, tool clamps, clasps and similar small items. It is in exactly these places that the difference between a model built from the kit and one supplemented with photo-etched parts shows most, especially seen from the side and from above. The set is intended for a particular kit; the name does not give it, so compare which M3A4 model you are building before buying.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch shears against a hard surface, not with pliers. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades, so the edge comes out straight. Glue the metal with super glue; on larger areas a glue with a longer setting time helps, since it gives you time to seat the part. Degrease the sheet before painting and spray it with a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth metal. Thicker parts can be warmed briefly before bending, which softens them and stops them springing back.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
