A kit of the American medium tank M4A3E8 Sherman from the Polish brand COBI. The model is not put together from sprues and is not glued: the parts are plastic bricks and shaped pieces, which fit into one another with a snap joint. The package requires neither glue, putty nor paints, because the plastic is colored right from production. Illustrated instructions lead the build step by step.
The M4A3E8 is a late version of the American medium tank Sherman from the end of the Second World War. It is told from the older configurations above all by the HVSS suspension with wide tracks and paired road wheels, which improved the ride and lowered the ground pressure. The turret carried a longer 76 mm cannon. The nickname Easy Eight arose from the designation E8.
The running gear takes the most work — press the bricks of the suspension home at a right angle and keep checking whether both sides sit at the same height, otherwise the model will rock slightly on a shelf. Compare bricks of the same shape in different shades with the picture in the instructions. Fit the tracks only once both sides are finished. The finished model does not have to be clear-coated, and dusting it off with a soft brush now and then is enough.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The parts are from colored plastic, and glue and paints are not needed and are not included in the package.
