MDF Movement Trays 20mm 5x5

What a movement tray is

A tray of MDF board into which figures on bases 20 millimeters in diameter are set. A 5 x 5 grid takes 25 figures. You then move a whole unit in one motion instead of shifting every figure separately, and without the formation drifting or the figures rubbing against each other.

When it pays off

Above all with numerous units in games where a close formation is moved. The tray keeps the spacing always the same, so there is no arguing about where exactly a formation starts and ends. It helps away from a game too: a formation on a tray can be transported and displayed all together. The same range also comes in other grids and for 25 and 32 millimeter bases.

Work tips

• MDF board is absorbent; prime it before painting, otherwise the paint soaks into the edges.
• Lightly sand the edges after cutting with fine sandpaper.
• You can finish the surface between the positions just like the bases of the figures; the formation then looks of a piece.
• Apply texture paste thinly, so that the figures still seat into the positions.
• Let damp material dry thoroughly; an absorbent board could otherwise warp.
• Store the tray flat and dry.

Who it is for

For players who assemble numerous formations from figures on 20 millimeter bases, and for collectors who want to display and transport a unit all together.
