A tray made of laser-cut MDF board with removable aluminum cups which, according to the manufacturer, is easy to assemble. It solves two things at once: it holds the cups together so that they do not roll away across the bench, and at the same time it lets you take a cup out, work with it comfortably and then clean it or replace it.
According to the manufacturer the tray can be used for any kind of paint and related products, that is for enamels, acrylics, varnishes, alcohol, acetone and thinners. That is exactly its main advantage over plastic palettes, which aggressive solvents attack. The cups suit mixing shades, thinning, preparing washes and setting a mixed paint aside for a short while.
The tray is supplied as a kit to be assembled; follow the instructions when gluing and use glue sparingly so that it does not overflow into the seats of the cups. Label a cup with a mixed shade so that you know what is in it. After work, rinse the cups out with a suitable cleaner and let them dry. Protect the wooden part from spilled thinner, because wood soaks it up.
The tray is supplied as a kit to be assembled. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
