AMMO Metallic Tracks Burnishing Fluid - a weathering liquid, 100 ml

Metallic Tracks Burnishing Fluid from AMMO (Mig Jimenez) is a chemical weathering liquid, not a paint. It serves to chemically blacken and age metal tracks (for example of white metal or photo-etched parts) into a realistic dark shade of worn steel to rust. The reaction runs cold, with no need for spraying or a brush. The package holds 100 ml.

Use

• Degrease the metal tracks thoroughly first with soap or acetone, so that the liquid reacts evenly
• Immerse the tracks in the liquid and keep moving and turning them
• The metal gradually darkens over roughly 15 to 20 minutes; watch the depth and control it as needed
• Once the required shade is reached, take the tracks out, rinse them in warm water and let them dry
• Weather the tracks unassembled; the resulting matte and durable surface is an ideal base under pigments and paints
