Model Craft mini snips, large version with curved blades

Precise snips with a built-in spring that opens them by itself after every cut. This version combines two advantages: a longer body with an overall length of about one hundred and fifteen millimeters, which sits surely in the hand, and curved blades, which keep the hand clear of the surface of a model. You therefore set the tip exactly where the cut is to be and still see the place you are working on. The spring makes sure the snips open by themselves after every squeeze, so even dozens of small cuts in a row can be made without tiring the fingers.

Use

• Trimming rigging, bracing wires and lines close to their attachment on the model.
• Cutting decals and their film to shape before they are applied.
• Shortening grass tufts, static grass and scenic plants directly on a diorama.
• Trimming surplus masking tape and film on a model that is already assembled.
• Snipping off thread and hems on figures and accessories, where straight snips cannot reach.

Who the scissors are for

For builders of ships and biplanes, where a lot of work goes into rigging and wires, for diorama builders and for anyone who often cuts on a finished model. The larger version suits those whose hands do not hold small snips well, and it is the logical companion to the straight variant of the same range, which you will use for straight cuts on a mat.

The snips are not intended for cutting metal, hard wire or plastic sprues. Keep out of the reach of children.
