Seventy-two tones across the fields

A combined set is meant for the modeler who does not build only one theme. Alongside the military shades it holds a saturated color range for fantasy subjects and a series of flesh tones, so a single purchase can cover a figure, a vehicle and a base. It is precisely this breadth of reach that is the main reason this selection is bought all at once instead of adding individual bottles gradually. For a beginning painter it also means not having to know in advance which direction the hobby will take.

What the selection is made up of

The uniform band is represented by German field gray, dark brown camouflage black and bright green, joined by olive and khaki tones. The flesh group is made up of several graded shades from the basic one through light to dark, supplemented by salmon pink. The saturated side of the palette is held by orange, purple, violet, turquoise and several blues including Andrea blue and deep sky blue. The earth band is covered by ochers, umber, leather brown and beige tones. The metals are represented by natural steel, old gold, silver and gold, and the set is closed by a matte varnish.

How to work with such a palette

With extensive selections it pays to mix your own transitional tones instead of looking for a ready-made shade, because combining two neighboring colors gives a more accurate result than a compromise. The paints carry a dropper cap, so they can be measured out drop by drop and the mixing ratio can be noted down and repeated. For a brush they are ready as they are; for an airbrush they need thinning.
