A self-healing cutting mat from Model Craft measuring roughly 300x220 mm and 3 mm thick. The multi-layer sandwich structure of PVC closes up again after a cut, so no permanent grooves are left on the surface and the blade does not slide into old tracks. It does not slip on the table and at the same time it holds the material being cut in place. The surface usually carries a millimeter grid and angle guides for accurate measuring and cutting.
For plastic and paper modelers and for hobbyists who want to protect the table and cut accurately. The size suits an ordinary modeling desk.
