A green shade from the acrylic 3rd Generation range, by its name intended for present-day Spanish ground equipment. The binder is water-thinnable, so the paint belongs among the acrylics and does not tolerate the solvent thinners meant for lacquers. The item falls into the sub-range for armored fighting vehicles. Check the volume of the bottle on the label of the package.
Camouflage shades are applied in a matte finish, but a decal laid on a matte surface traps air underneath it and a matte frame stays around the print. The procedure is therefore settled: a thin layer of gloss varnish goes onto the dried paint, the decal is laid on it, after drying it is varnished once more, and only then come the wash and the matting down. With an acrylic paint, choose a varnish that is compatible with acrylic and let the surface cure properly, otherwise the solvent from the varnish will eat its way down to the paint. The final matte varnish evens out the gloss between the paint, the decal and the patina and prepares the surface for dry pigments.
For modelers focused on present-day equipment who want a particular national shade instead of a generic green. It also suits a palette for modulating green areas.
