A plastic kit of the Evangelion Proto Type-00 figure from Meng. The name uses the full official designation of the subject, that is, the long descriptive title that belongs to this series; in practice it is the prototype machine with the sequence designation 00. This item carries the edition with pre-colored parts, so the basic appearance comes about by assembling it according to the instructions, without spraying.
Pre-colored plastic shifts the build toward a quicker and cleaner result: there is no masking and no mixing of shades. In exchange it pays off to be careful when separating the parts, because on a finished colored surface a white burr and even a small scratch show at once. Meng also runs further forms and versions of this figure, so the customer chooses according to how much work he wants to leave to himself.
Clip with sharp nippers a little away from the part and even the sprue nub out only in a second step, with a knife or a fine file. Think ahead about sanding the mold seams on colored parts, because a sanded spot has to be touched up with paint. A paneliner will bring out the engraved lines, and a matte or satin varnish in a spray can unifies the finished model. Do not flood the joints with varnish, so that they do not seize up.
The model is supplied as a kit of pre-colored parts. Painting is not necessary for the basic appearance.
