Aoshima 1:24 Patrol Car Parts A is a set of plastic detail parts for building a Japanese police car in 1:24 scale. It is not a model of a car but an accessory for one.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic parts from the Japanese maker Aoshima intended for completing and adding to a model of a police car in 1:24 scale. An important warning right at the start: this item is not a model of a car. It is a set of parts which you use on an already built or part-built model of a car, and the base kit has to be obtained separately. The specific contents of the set, the number of parts and the list of vehicles the parts fit are given on the packaging of the set.
Japanese police vehicles differ from production cars above all in their equipment, not in the body. It is precisely that which tends to be the content of add-on sets of this type: the elements that turn an ordinary model into a vehicle in service release. A modeler thus does not have to make the small equipment in his own way out of wire and plastic profiles but gets parts in the correct scale and with the corresponding shape. The set also deals with the situation where the base kit of a car came out in a civil version and the police release has to be added.
Parts from add-on sets are often mounted in visible places where every overflow of glue shows, so glue with a very small amount of thin plastic glue or with a cyanoacrylate glue with a slower set. First try the parts dry and if need be adjust the seating surfaces. Paint the small components while still on the sprue or stuck on a stick; finishing them on a completed body does not pay off. Leave the transparent covers of the beacons without a primer and at most only tint them with a clear color, so that they stay clean. Apply the chrome and glossy surfaces at the very end, because they are hard to mask and easily damaged.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
