The collector's bust Neko Galaxy - Yana 1:10 from Green Stuff World. A large scale gives room to the hardest and the most rewarding thing on a bust, that is the face.
Responsibility details are not available.
The collector's bust Yana from the Neko Galaxy series in the Green Stuff World range, character scale 1:10. A format that keeps only the upper part of the body from a whole figure and so shifts the center of gravity to the face.
On a bust the face cannot be hidden behind a scene or behind a dynamic pose. The viewer looks straight into the face, and so the whole impression rests on it. At 1:10 scale the eyelids, the lips and the modeling of the cheekbones are large enough to be dealt with step by step and with deliberation, which is the main reason collectors reach for busts rather than for small figures. A portrait moreover stands no compromise: an inaccuracy in symmetry or in the set of the eyes is spotted even by somebody who knows nothing about figural sculpture, because the eye is trained on the human face.
For collectors of portrait figural sculpture and for modelers who want to work on a face in a large format, where every step shows. It is at the same time a good choice for anyone who wants to move on from gaming miniatures to display pieces and is looking for a first bust for a display case. The name of the character and of the series are quoted exactly as the manufacturer has them, without translation, so that the item can be unambiguously tracked down.
