Die-cut paper leaves as a scenic material. It is neither a kit nor a finished tree; it is the raw material from which you cover a crown, a bush or a carpet of fallen leaves on the ground. The autumn part of the range aims at the season when the leaves change color and fall, which is a rewarding subject for dioramas: the color contrast livens up even an otherwise restrained scene, and fallen leaves naturally connect the trees with the ground. The number one is the first variant of the autumn part of the range.
On a tree: finish the armature and glue the leaves on in small amounts with tweezers, using thinned PVA glue or matte varnish. Leave gaps in the crown so that the sky shows through, as in autumn a crown is thinned out and it is precisely that which gives a scene its atmosphere. On the ground: apply a thin layer of thinned glue to the terrain and sprinkle the leaves into it from a height by the handful, so that they land irregularly. Keep the little heaps by the trunk, by walls and in sheltered spots, where leaves really do gather.
Press the center of a leaf in slightly with a round tool, as a bent leaf catches the light and does not look flat. The color transition does a great deal: leave some of the leaves lighter and some darker, then unify the whole with a very thin filter. Paper is sensitive to water, so tone it only with light passes and pauses for drying. Store the rest of the set in a closed bag.
The armature of the tree, glue and paints are not included in the package. The number and size of the leaves are not stated here.
