Foam foliage, medium green from Woodland Scenics is a scenic material of dyed foam granulate for modeling foliage. It serves for bushes, shrubs, climbing greenery and growth on terrain.

The basic scenic material for every green area on a model. Dyed foam granulate stands in for foliage: it is applied to the armatures of bushes and trees, to the wires of climbing greenery or directly onto terrain as low growth. The medium green shade is the most universal choice, because it matches foliage in the full growing season and takes a combination with lighter and darker tones well. It is precisely the mixing of two or three shades that makes growth alive, whereas a uniform color over a large area gives a model away at first glance.
Coat the base or the armature of a bush with thinned PVA or scenic glue and scatter the material onto it, or dip the armature straight into it. Once dry, tap the excess off and keep it for further use. Fix the finished growth with a fine misting of thinned glue through a sprayer, so that it does not shed dust. You achieve volume by layering: let the first layer dry, coat it with glue again and add another, ideally in a slightly different shade. The shade can be fine-tuned with very heavily thinned acrylic paint from an airbrush.

The foam material is light and flammable, so keep it away from an open flame. Glue is not included in the package.
